Number 59: The Cars - Tonight She Comes

Their second and final appearance on this Top 200, The Cars take the #59 spot with "Tonight She Comes". This song was a new track recorded for their 1985 Greatest Hits album. It reached #7 on the Billboard singles chart and helped the LP sell over six million copies, making it the best selling Cars record of all time.

    Always amazed me that the Cars were as popular as they were despite Rik Ocasek's sophomoric, perverted and creepy (even for me) humor.

    Eighties trivia nugget : The ginger hottie in this video also played Mary Jane at Shea Stadium in NYC when Spiderman got married to her in 1987.
